Owner injured during armed robbery at 7-Eleven

Early Friday morning, Elkhart Police responded to the 7-Eleven on N. Main Street for a robbery.

The suspect entered the business, displayed a gun and demanded money.
The clerk ran towards the office, where the owner was.

The suspect fired the gun in that direction, then fled the store, police said.

The clerk was not injured, but the owner suffered a minor injury to his arm. Police say he was likely injured when the bullet ricocheted off a door.

The suspect was described as a white male in dark clothing wearing a Halloween mask.
