Palisades Nuclear Power Plant back up and running

VAN BUREN CO., Mich. -- The Palisades Nuclear Power Plant is back up and running after a month-long shutdown.

The plant was shutdown back in June to fix a leaky water tank.

The plant's spokesman Mark Savage said that the plant went back into service around 2:30 a.m.

It will take several days for the plant to return to full power.

ABC 57 also talked to the NRC on Wednesday. We learned that they are still investigating the handling and repair of the leak.
