Palisades remains offline after water tank leak

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is at the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant to make sure everything is done by the book.

The plant remains shutdown after a leak in the water tank forced operations offline on Tuesday.

Because of the recent downgrade at the nuclear plant, the NRC says than an extra inspector is on site to monitor repairs. So far, there have been no violations.

There is no word on how long the plant will be off line.
