Parents are advised to keep detergent pods away from children.Researchers say that there have been roughly 700 hospitalizations linked to parents using concentrated detergent pods.
Children can break them open and eat the detergent, believing it is candy.
In 2012 and 2013, Poison Control Centers say they received a call each hour about the pods.
