Parents react to sex crime charges against St. Joe teacher

A Michiana teacher, 26 year old Lauren Hill, was arrested Sunday and accused of sex crimes.  Police say she had an inappropriate relationship with one of her students.  The school district's website says she taught English at St. Joseph High School in St. Joe Michigan.

A press release by St. Joe's Public Safety Department says the school found out about it last Wednesday when a parent called to complain.

She's now charged with 4 counts of criminal sexual conduct.

She taught 9th and 10th grade English.  The school system says she resigned on Friday.  Police say she was also arrested and locked up in the Berrien County Jail.

The situation is something parents of students at St. Joseph High School are not happy about.

"It's the one thing you don't want to have happen, when you're handing your child over to someone you trust and that trust is broken," says one father, Chris Glisson.
