Parking wars at I.U.S.B

Students at Indiana University: South Bend were frustrated today, for the first day of classes when they had no place to park.

Construction on the new Esther Street parking won’t be done for another few weeks, and that’s really limited the number of parking spaces.

ABC 57 found several students driving around in circles today. Other students decided to park and walk nearly a half mile to get on campus.

Cody McAlexander, a student frustrated over the parking situation said, “The parking is kind of ridiculous, because we had to drive all the way around the school just to find a place to park. We had to pull over to the side and it was kind of difficult and inconvenient."

Making things even worse, construction in front of the Arts and Education building also cut 150 parking spaces this year.
