WARSAW, Ind. -- Construction has started on the Parkview Warsaw hospital which will be renamed Parkview Kosciusko Hospital.

The construction will add 88,00 square feet and will double the facility’s size creating a full-service hospital.

The plans were originally announced January 2020 and were updated to include inpatient care, surgery, and specialty clinics.

Also included in the plan is a satellite clinic for the Parkview Cancer Institute that will allow patients to receive sub-specialty cancer care closer to home.

The cancer clinic will include radiation and infusion space as well as a healing garden.

The addition will include three stories and a basement. The lower level will be designated for cardiology and pulmonology.

The first floor will include the PCI satellite clinic, a pharmacy, diabetes education services, and expanding the current lab and emergency departments.
