Part of State Road 2 closed in La Porte to celebrate high school grads

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation has scheduled a partial closure of State Road 2 in downtown La Porte on Monday, July 6. The road will be closed from State Road 4 to Teegarden Street.
The closure begins around 5:30 p.m. and lasts until 7:30 p.m. in order to allow a caravan of La Porte High School graduates to caravan in celebration.
Drivers should consider using Washington Street as a detour.
