(CNN) -- Queensland Police have released video of a suspect who attempted to rob a tavern at Mermaid Beach Friday morning.
The suspect, armed with a machete, entered the tavern around 1 a.m. and demanded $1500 from an employee.
The suspect fled empty handed after a patron fought him off using a large stool and a potted plant.
