STEVENSVILLE, Mich.—The public, trickling back into Peat’s Cider Social in Stevensville for the first time since the pandemic hit.
“We’re pretty excited. We were kind of on the earlier to close so we even closed a little bit before we would’ve been ordered to,” CEO Dan Peat said.
“We wanted to make sure we had a really good plan given the limited and changing information that we tend to get.”
The taproom teamed up with the Outcenter of Southwest Michigan for a pride week fundraiser.
Each donation went to helping the non-profit continue its mission of supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
“We kind of looked at what are going to be one of our organizational values—and one of those values that we all share is inclusivity,” Peat said.
CEO Dan Peat believes events like this are beneficial and can make a big difference, and said that he’s proud that they have the opportunity to pay it forward.
“We’re community based, we want to pick local organizations to support and hopefully this will be one of many times that we get to do something like this, Peat said.
If you would like to support the cause the Peat’s Outcenter fundraiser runs all weekend long.
