Pedestrian hit and killed by train in Bridgman, Mich.

BRIDGMAN, Mich. --- Bridgman Police are investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian and a train in the 4200 block of Lake Street.
The accident happened just before 10 p.m. Saturday night.
Police said the victim, 20-year-old Austin Thackston, crossed the tracks while the gates were down and the warning lights were activated.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
