Pedestrian hospitalized after being hit by train

OSCEOLA, Ind. -- A pedestrian is in the hospital after being hit by a train at the crossing on Cottage Grove Avenue and Lincolnway East around 7:15 a.m., according to St. Joseph County Dispatch.
The status of the injured person is unknown at this time.
Commuters are asked to avoid that crossing for the time-being.
