Pence outlines vision for state

INDIANAPOLIS -- New Governor Mike Pence outlined his vision for the state during his first term. He wants Indiana to be the least taxed state in the Midwest.

Pence gave his first State-of-the-State address Tuesday night in Indy.

He says lowering the income tax rate by a half percent will encourage small businesses to spend more and hire some of the 250,000 unemployed Hoosiers.

"It will be official, Indiana will be the lowest taxed state in the Midwest. Companies who are here will have one more reason to move to the Hoosier state," said Governor Pence.

Pence also pushed to expand the school voucher program to military foster families and special needs children.
