MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The “Short Hair Because We Care Club” will be holding a hair donation event on Saturday, March 26.

Hairstylists from Salon Nouveau will be attending the Penn Girls Lacrosse games at TCU Freed Field to cut hair from any volunteers in attendance. The event will last from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and may be rescheduled in case of inclement weather conditions.

The Penn organization benefits children fighting illnesses that involve hair loss. All sheared locks will be donated to the group, Children with Hair Loss, which is a non-profit aimed at making wigs for children worldwide.

Attendees under the age of 18 must have an adult present in order to participate.

Adults and students alike are required to have at least 8 inches of hair to donate.

The TCU Freed Field is located at 56100 Bittersweet Rd in Mishawaka.
