ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - This will be the sixth hair donation event hosted by Penn's Short Hair Because We Care club.
The event is tomorrow from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the Penn High School cafeteria. Stylists from Salon Nouveau will be cutting and prepping hair.
Hair donations will be sent to Children with Hair Loss, an organization who makes wigs for children and young adults facing hair loss.
It’s welcome to the public and they ask for people to donate eight inches of hair or more. Hair that is dyed and bleached is accepted.
Junior Megan Kennedy said last spring’s event was the most donations they’ve ever received with 300 hundred inches of hair donated. She’s hoping this year will surpass that.
“It’s a great opportunity. It’s a great feeling knowing that you’re going to help people but specifically kids,” Kennedy said.
People are asked to enter Door F at Penn High School.
