People were inside of home, vehicle when shots fired on Mishawaka Avenue

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—South Bend Police say both a home and vehicle were occupied when shots were fired on August 18.

Police officers were sent to the area of Hastings and 34th St. regarding reports of shots fired around 11:45 p.m. on Sunday night but officers found that shots had been fired near 34th St. and Mishawaka Ave.

Officers then learned that a vehicle in the 500 block of S. 33rd had damage and was occupied at the time that shots were fired.

An occupied home was damaged by a projectile in the 3400 block of Mishawaka Ave., according to police.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

A possible suspect left the area is a vehicle with an unknown make and model. The color was reportedly gray, according to police.
