Pet Fest aims to adopt out homeless animals

BRISTOL, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Humane Society is gearing up for this weekend's Pet Fest.

ABC 57's own Morning Anchor Keitha Nelson will serve as the official host of the event.

It will take place in Bristol on County Road 19.

From 11 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, people can bring their own pet and they can participate in a number of events.

It's free. There will also be concessions on hand.

The Humane Society also will be running some specials to try and get animals adopted.

They are discounting all animals under age five by 50 percent.

Over age five, animals can be adopted at 70 percent off the usual price.
