MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Hundreds of people filed through the doors of PetSmart on Saturday, some looking for a furry friend!
Pet Refuge was just one of several adoption agencies on-hand at the pet store.
They all had one goal in mind; get some cats and dogs adopted!
The pet owners we talked to say it's a great feeling to find a cat or dog a new home.
"It's really a blessing to us to see an animal that has come from a sad background or circumstance and see them develop and change and become well adapted to the world, and then find a happy home," said Stephanie Carlson, Volunteer, Pet Refuge.
Both PetSmart locations in Mishawaka and South Bend hold this event every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
