ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Concord Community Schools announced on Wednesday that Jeff Petty has been named as the newest Principal of Concord High School, pending school board approval on August 4.

The school district says Petty most recently served as an Assistant Principal at Concord High School, where he has been instrumental in supporting student success, fostering strong staff relationships, and contributing to a positive school culture.

"He was selected for his clear vision for school improvement, and his proven ability to connect with students and staff," the district said in a statement. 

Petty joined Concord in 2018 as a math teacher at Concord High School and was promoted to assistant principal in 2021.

“I am honored to serve Concord High School in this new role and excited to continue building on the strengths of our students, staff, and families,” Petty said. “Concord has always been a special place, and I’m proud to be part of this community’s continued growth and success.”

He has also served as head coach of the boys golf team, assistant coach for the girls golf team, and led the freshman boys basketball program.

Petty holds a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education - Mathematics from Butler University, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from WGU.

“We are proud to elevate a leader who is already deeply connected to our high school community,” said Superintendent Dr. Dan Funston.

“His experience and passion for Concord make him well-equipped to lead CHS into its next chapter.”

The district says Petty and his wife, Peyton, enjoy golfing, outdoor activities, and other sports-related activities.

The Concord High School leadership team for the 2025-2026 school year will include Jeff Petty as principal, Carolyn Lesperance as associate principal, Mandy Whittaker continuing as assistant principal, and one additional assistant principal to be hired before the start of the school year.
