Phillip Geans to be sentenced in December
A judge has rescheduled sentencing for Phillip Geans, who was convicted of killing Theresa Burns in 1988 in Mishawaka.
Burns was a sophomore at Mishawaka High School when she was murdered in January 1988.
Geans was scheduled to be sentenced at the end of October, but the hearing was rescheduled because two of Geans' witnesses were hospitalized.
Geans is now scheduled to be sentenced on December 4th.
Geans was convicted of murder by a jury in September 2015.
He faces 40-60 years in prison.
