Planning the perfect 'stay-cation' in Michiana

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- We have officially entered Spring Break season! And you might be asking yourself, how can we find a getaway right here in our own backyard?

ABC57 has planned the ultimate “stay-cation.”

First stop for the artists! The Pigeon and the Hen Pottery.

“They can come here and they can do their own paint their own pottery experience,” says Amy Klinger, Co-Owner.

Families can spend the day downtown starting off with pottery! Something you can enjoy and even use later on, and it also makes for a fun date night.

Next, for our active bunch, Strike and Spares in Mishawaka!

“We are having an unlimited wrist band special which includes everything on this side of our building,” says Mario Teixeira, Operations Manager of Strikes and Spares.

The entertainment center offering stay-cation wrist bands giving guests unlimited access to certain attractions as well as $1 bowling!

If the weather is nice during your staycation, you can even check out some of the parks like Potato Creek State park.

The park offers everything from hiking, biking, fishing, water activities and cabins for those looking to camp! Further information can be found, here.

Finally, end the day with a sweet treat from the South Bend Chocolate Company! Further information about the sweet treats can be found here.

If none of these are what you are looking for, check out Visit South Bend for even more options!
