The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians presented a $100,000 check to Beacon Children’s Hospital on Friday.
The ceremony was held at Four Winds South Bend Friday morning.
The donation included the proceeds and private contributions from the 2021 Four Winds Invitational.
“10 years is a really long time to have a partnership. We didn't know when this started 10 years ago if we would be selected the second year as the recipient of the Four Winds invitationals. So 10 years later to continue to have this relationship with the tribe is very meaningful,” said Jen Tonkovich, Beacon Health.
Beacon will use the funds for a new equipment to be used to safely transport premature infants and their specialty care team.
