SOUTH BEND, Ind. --A thousand local families have a holiday feast by getting help from the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi.
200 Christmas boxes were hand out with the help from volunteers at the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.
An overall one thousand boxes are being given out throughout Indiana and Michigan, with 250 going to Pokagon band members.
This donation comes before the major winter storm, to help make sure families in need to get stocked up for the potential blizzard.
