Police: accidental shooting on Elwood Avenue leaves one dead

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – One man has died following an accidental shooting in the 1300 block of W. Elwood Avenue on Friday, the South Bend Police Department reported.
Around 12 p.m., police were called to the area for a report of an accidental shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a male victim suffering from an apparent accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to reports.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
