Police arrest Goshen man in the beating of his 6-month-old daughter

GOSHEN, Ind. -- A Goshen man faces battery charges in connection with the beating of his 6-month-old daughter.
Officers got a call of a child in need and upon investigation found the young girl had been beaten.
Police arrested 19-year-old Eddie Mayorga and took him to the Elkhart County Jail.
The child was taken to a doctor and then placed in protective custody.
