Police arrest suspect in shooting on E. Indiana in South Bend

South Bend Police have made an arrest in a shooting that happened in the 1100 block of E. Indiana Avenue on Monday.

Police were dispatched to the area and located Thurl Redd, 26, with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his foot.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Based on tips from witnesses, police obtained a description of a vehicle and name of a possible suspect.

Police located the vehicle and after a brief chase, arrested 25-year-old George Harris, according to police.

Harris is facing a preliminary charge of resisting law enforcement.
