Police make arrest in fatal shooting, armed robbery
BENTON HARBOR, Mich.—Police have made an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting and armed robbery that resulted in the death of 20-year-old Miquan Davis, according to the Benton Charter Township Police Department.
James Parker-Hersey, 18, was arrested on Thursday, police said. The warrant for Parker-Hersey’s arrest includes charges of murder, armed robbery and felony firearm.
Police initially identified Parker-Hersey as a victim in the incident that took place around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Briarwood Apartment complex.
Parker-Hersey sustained a gun shot wound to the left hip and was taken to the hospital for the non-life threatening injury, police said.
Davis suffered a fatal gun shot wound to the chest in the incident, reports said.
Witnesses told police that an armed robbery situation resulted in several gunshots being fired, according to reports.
Police are still seeking other subjects who were involved in the incident.
