Police: Don't leave car while it's warming up

Mishawaka Police have received 5 reports of stolen vehicles because the person left their vehicle unlocked and running.

The thefts happened between the hours of 7:15 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. at apartment complexes on the north side.

Police also urge you to make a copy of your registration or take a picture of it with your cell phone in case your car is stolen.

The registration has the information necessary to file a report and can help recover your vehicle quickly.

If you see any suspicious activity, contact the Mishawaka Police and if you have any information on the thefts, contact the department's Detective Bureau at 574-258-1684.
