ELKHART, Ind. - The Elkhart Police Department identified the body found in the 500 block of Modrell Boulevard Sunday afternoon as that of 39-year-old Jessica Mitchell.
Mitchell was found inside a home in that area.
Because of body decomposition, the Elkhart County Homicide Unit was called and has taken over the investigation.
