Police identify driver killed in crash in Weesaw Township

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich.—A driver died following a crash in Weesaw Township on Wednesday, according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office.

On March 2, officers were sent to the scene of a crash involving two cars at Cleveland Ave. and Browntown Road around 6:50 p.m.

Officers arrived to the scene to find a 68-year-old driver who was unresponsive. He was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.

The driver was identified as Gregory Toney of Berrien Springs, according to police.

Police said the driver of the other car and her 12-year-old son were treated for their injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
