Police identify vehicle of interest in fatal Niles Township pedestrian crash

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office has released photos of a vehicle of interest that may have been involved in a fatal crash on Sunday.

A black Jeep Compass or other small SUV appeared at the scene of the crash shortly after responders arrived but then left, reports said.

If you know anything about the vehicle’s owner or occupant, please contact the Berrien County Sheriff’s Detective Bureau at 269-983-7111 ext. 7224.

UPDATE: The Jeep Compass has been ruled out as being involved in the hit and run.
