Police investigate suspicious package left on sidewalk

Some homeowners living in the 700 block of Philadelphia Street in the city of La Porte were evacuated from their homes after finding a suspicious package on the sidewalk around 8:30 a.m.

According to Mayor Blair Milo, what appears to be three pipe bombs were found inside a cardboard box. In a Facebook post, Milo describes it as being the "size of a large shoe box." 

No other suspicious packages have been found in that area.
