Police investigating attempted robbery of gas station on W. Western

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police were called to a gas station in the 5000 block of W. Western around 6 p.m. Thursday.

The clerk told police a man came into the store and placed items on the counter, then handed over a note demanding money.

The suspect did not get the money and left the store.

Another clerk saw the suspect get into a blue Oldsmobile Intrigue with a Michigan license plate and drive away.
