Police investigating bank robbery on W. Western Avenue

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police are investigating a bank robbery that happened on W. Western Avenue Friday afternoon.
Just before 2 p.m., police were called to the 4500 block of W. Western to investigate a bank robbery.
Later in the afternoon, SWAT and negotiators were called to a home in the 4500 block of Washington Street for reports of an armed, barricaded person at the Caravelle Apartments.
No one was located at the complex.
