Police investigating early morning Elkhart house fire

ELKHART, Ind. -- An early morning fire destroyed an abandoned home in Elkhart.
The fire on West Simonton started around 1 a.m. and quickly spread.
By the time firefighters got there, half of the house was engulfed in flames.
All that's left of the house is the frame. Firefighters said it's a total loss.
Right now, investigators aren't sure how it started.
Dispatch tells ABC57 News it was an abandoned house and no one was inside when it happened.
