Police investigating murder in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH, Ind.- Police in Plymouth are investigating a possible stabbing that happened Sunday morning.
According to the Plymouth Police Department, officers responded to the 900 block of N. Plum Street in reference to the report of a possible stabbing.
Plymouth Fire Department also extinguished a fire at the residence, where the deceased victim was located.
Officers attempted contact with a man that was in the residence, who eventually tried to flee out the rear door.
The man, identified as 35-year-old Duane Longacre of Plymouth, allegedly resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
