Police investigating robbery at 7-Eleven

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department is investigating a robbery at the 7-Eleven at 54543 CR17 early Sunday morning. The department is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect.

At approximately 2:45 a.m., the suspect entered the 7-Eleven, approached the clerk and said he had a gun.

The clerk gave the suspect money from the register, then was forced into the bathroom, reports said.

The suspect left the store with cash and cigarettes, according to police.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a ball cap and glasses. He is approximately 5'4" tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds.
