Police investigating theft of braille reader from church

ELKHART, Ind.—Elkhart Police say they are investigating the theft of a braille reader from a church that was reported on June 27.

Around 12:19 p.m. on June 27, Elkhart Police officers responded to the Life Tabernacle Church on Middlebury Street regarding a theft.

Church staff told police that they had ordered a braille reader that was delivered on June 17.

Staff said that before they realized the package had been delivered, an unknown person reportedly took it from outside of the door.

The incident remains under investigation.
