South Bend Police investigating two armed robberies

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—Police are investigating reports of two armed robberies that occurred on Tuesday night in South Bend.

Officers responded to the 500 block of S. Michigan around 10:44 p.m. for reports of a robbery.

According to police, two masked black males entered the store, while a third person, a white male, remained at the door. The two masked men showed a gun, took cash and left, reports said.

Later that night, around 11:12 p.m., officers responded to the 1800 block of S. Prairie for reports of a robbery.

A victim reported that a black male, possibly in his late teens or early 20s with black hair in twists, pulled a gun on a victim who walked out of the store, took cash and then ran off.

Police do not believe that the robberies are related.

Both incidents are still under investigation.
