Police looking for man accused of robbing woman in Walmart lot
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police have released surveillance photos of a man they say is a suspect in the robbery in the parking lot of the Walmart on Ireland Road.
Monday night around 10 p.m., police were called to the Walmart to investigate a robbery.
The victim told police she was approached by a man who tried to take her wallet and knocked her to the ground.
The suspect had the victim's wallet as he ran from the scene, but dropped it when others in the parking lot chased after him.
After dropping the wallet, the suspect got into a vehicle and drove away.
The victim told police nothing was missing from her wallet.
The suspect is described as a white male around 5’9” to 6’ tall with shot blonde hair and a scruffy goatee. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and swimming style shorts. He left the scene in a red sedan.
