WALKERTON, Ind. - The Walkerton Police Department reports Officer Adam Kraning was involved in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday night while on duty.
Police say Kraning was on Harrison Street in Walkerton responding in his patrol car with lights and siren activated, to assist Officer Travis O’Neal.

O'Neal was on a call and in a physical fight with a suspect he was attempting to arrest at the time.
Kraning drove through the curve in the 1200 block of Harrison Street while responding and lost control.
Police say Kraning then left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Authorities say Kraning wasn't hurt in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department.
Walkerton Police Chief Matt Schalliol stated, “We are thankful that both Officer Kraning and Officer O’Neal are okay and that no one was injured in the crash.”
