Police pursuit in Michigan ends in crash with one arrest

CASS COUNTY, Mich. - The Cass County Sheriff’s Department reports Sunday, that they assisted a police pursuit on M-60 near Yankee Street that originated in Berrien County. 

The pursuit continued into Cassopolis where Cassopolis Police were able to deploy stop sticks entering the village limits.

The vehicle continued to flee into Vandalia, where the suspect vehicle crashed behind a residence on Lakeview Drive in Penn Township.

The driver, a 41-year-old Elkhart, Indiana man, was the lone occupant and taken into custody by Cass County Sheriff’s Deputies.

The driver was then turned over to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office.

Police say the investigation ongoing, and alcohol and drugs appear to be a factor in this incident.
