Police release cause of death, identity of woman found near Chippewa Avenue

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Police released the identity and cause of death of a woman found injured near Chippewa Avenue and Keria Trail Saturday.
The victim has been identified as 52-year-old Marinea Erp of South Bend.
The St. Joseph County Coroner determined that Erp died from gunshot wound injuries.
At this time, police do not know how Erp ended up on Chippewa Avenue.
No suspects have been identified at this time.
The St. Joseph County Police Department is treating this investigation as a homicide.
