Suspect arrested in home invasion, possible abduction

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Mishawaka Police have arrested a suspect in connection with an alleged home invasion and possible abduction that happened Monday morning.

Police were dispatched to 5724 Town Center Drive around 8:30 a.m. to investigate a home invasion, theft and possible abduction.

When officers arrived on the scene, they saw evidence of forced entry to the home.

A victim told police the suspect left with a female victim and had gone to a home in the 300 block of Manchester.

The suspect was taken into custody at the Manchester residence around 9:15 a.m. without incident.

The victim suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment.

Police are unable to verify whether there was an abduction.

The suspect is being held at the St. Joseph County Jail on preliminary charges of residential entry, battery and theft.
