Police respond to Clay High School for reports of several fights

St. Joseph County Police responded to Clay High School Thursday afternoon after several fights broke out, according to Sheriff William Redman.

Police were called to the school around 2:15 p.m.

One juvenile was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center, Redman said.

The sheriff says it doesn't appear there were any serious injuries.

The South Bend Community School Corporation released this statement:

SBCSC is aware of a minor incident at Clay High School this afternoon involving several students. School officials responded immediately and the students involved in this incident will be held accountable for their actions.
