Police respond to gunshots near Memorial Hospital

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend police surrounded a house at the intersection of Lafayette and Navarre around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, after someone called in about shots being fired in the area.

The house is only feet away from Memorial Hospital. One woman put workers and people in the hospital on edge.

Witnesses said she was screaming hysterically when hearing the gunfire. Police said it turns out two woman believed to be drunk in the house got into a fight.

No one was hurt or arrested.
