Police searching for man who exposed himself to children

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police are searching for a man who exposed himself to two young children in the 1000 block of S. Ironwood around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.



According to the South Bend Police Department a two children, ages 6 and 7, were playing in the backyard of a home in the 1000 block of S. Ironwood when a male approached them from the alley.



Police say he attempted to lure the children to a nearby garage.



When they refused, he exposed his genitals.



The children ran to a nearby home and the suspect left the area.



The suspect is described as a white male with gray, balding hair and was wearing light colored shorts.



Anyone with information regarding the suspect or knows of similar incidents should contact the South Bend Police Department or Crime Stoppers reports of similar cases in this area  is asked to call the SBPD or Crime Stoppers at 574-288-STOP or 800-342-STOP.
