SOUTH BEND, Ind.— Police are searching for a suspect after an armed robbery at a South Bend liquor store.

Officers were called to East Race Liquor on E. Colfax Ave. around 2:45 p.m. on March 31 for reports of an armed robbery.

The suspect was described as a black woman who is approximately 5 feet, eight inches tall, with a thin to medium build wearing a dark blue, hip length coat with fur around the hood.

Reports indicated that the suspect was armed with a handgun.

According to police, the suspect left the scene and was not arrested.
