Police searching for suspect in armed robbery at Benton Harbor store
BENTON HARBOR, Mich.—Police are asking the public for help locating a suspect involved in an armed robbery on Thursday morning, according to the Benton Charter Township Police Department.
On October 22, around 9:40 a.m., officers were called to the Family Farm and Home store on Cinema Way regarding an armed robbery.
Employees told officers that a suspect came into the business, placed clothing items in a shopping cart, approached the registers and showed an unknown semi-automatic handgun from his waistband, according to police reports.
The suspect then pointed the gun at the clerk as he left the business with the merchandise, police said.
Police said the suspect got into a silver or gray GMC/ Chevy full-sized SUV and left in an unknown direction.
On Thursday, police released the above photos of the suspect and vehicle.
The suspect is described as a male wearing a brown hooded jacket and black pants.
