Police: Warsaw man accused of drunk driving drags officer up the street

WARSAW, Ind. -- A Warsaw man is in jail right now, accused of taking off from the cops and even dragging  a Pierceton police officer with him.

50-year-old Ricky Owens of Warsaw was pulled over on the suspicion of drinking while driving on State Road 13 on Tuesday night.

When Officer Jim Bumbaugh tried to restrain Owens, he started the engine and hit the accelerator, dragging the cop along the pavement.

Police arrested Owens at his father's house.

The officer was treated at an area hospital and allowed to go home.
